Born into a family who thinks success is measured in money and social status, Akio was never one that truly fit in with the rest. His parents tried to raise their son like any other wealthy family would and tried to mold him into their own casts but, he didn't want everything in life to be handed to him on a golden platter. His upbringing had the opposite effect on him, it humbled him and made him grateful for the little things that he could earn for himself. It made him proud of even the tiniest accomplishments that he could make without anyone's help and it taught him how to be self-sufficient and independent.Against his parents wishes, he enlisted in the military. While there he went through several types of training but took to the medical field and became a medic. 7 years into his enlistment though, he was injured and medically discharged. He suffers a lot of trauma from both his TBI and PTSD from his injury and his enlistment in general but tries his best not to let it effect his everyday life.
